Boscombe Pier Though Film Series
Using the iconic Boscombe Pier as the subject, this series of photos was taken on a restored 35mm film camera and some expired colour film which was over 25 years old. These series of photographs were my first experiment back into film photography. In an age of digital, where taking a photo gives you an instant gratification which can then be manipulated by AI, film photography allows the photographer to return to the arts roots. The idea of using expired film was a wild card, as there is no guarantee how the film degrades over time. Yet, the surprise was the beautiful tones which gave this series an aged sepia feel transporting the viewer back to a simpler time. The photos in this series are available as prints.
